CVE-2026-114067
Trigger.dev versions 4.5.0 through 4.6.1 have an improper authorization flaw in the PUT snapshot-url session endpoint. Public session tokens
Overview
Trigger.dev versions 4.5.0 through 4.6.1 have an improper authorization flaw in the PUT snapshot-url session endpoint. Public session tokens can retrieve presigned S3 write URLs, allowing users to overwrite durable chat snapshots and forge conversation history. This can mislead agents and compromise data integrity.
Description
Trigger.dev 4.5.0 before 4.6.2 contains an improper authorization vulnerability in the PUT snapshot-url session endpoint that allows public session token holders to obtain presigned S3 write URLs. End users can overwrite their own session's durable chat snapshot to forge the agent's conversation history, since the route lacks a secret-key-only check.
Impact
Confidentiality: session data may be tampered. Integrity: conversation history can be forged. Availability: not directly affected. Defenders include developers, system admins, and security teams using Trigger.dev.
Remediation
Upgrade to Trigger.dev 4.6.2 or later. Ensure the PUT snapshot-url endpoint requires a secret key, not just a public session token. Apply least‑privilege S3 permissions and monitor for unauthorized write URLs. Verify that session tokens are not exposed publicly.
Risk context
Medium severity (CVSS 6.5). No EPSS data available. Defenders should address promptly to prevent data tampering.
