Description

The Advanced Custom Fields: Extended PRO plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Limited Code Injection in all versions up to, and including, 0.9.2.6 via the render_field function. This is due to insufficient validation of form configuration parameters before merging into field settings and passing to call_user_func_array in the render_field method. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to call arbitrary WordPress functions with controlled arguments. Method 1 requires the administrator to enable the non-default 'shortcode_preview' setting for the target form, while Method 2 requires the server environment to lack OpenSSL functions, causing ACF Pro's acf_decrypt to fall back to unverified base64 decoding.

This is due to bpxp_image_field_update_on_user_activation() calling unlink() on a path built from visitor-supplied signup metadata with no realpath() resolution, no containment check against the profile-image directory and no extension allow-list. Submitting a zero-byte file with the 'field_N_hidden' parameter during registration makes the plugin store the raw value, which is then resolved against the document root when the pending signup is activated. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file (such as wp-config.php) is deleted. Requires open registration and an image-type profile field on the signup form.

Out-of-bounds read vulnerabilities in the pybddisasm Python bindings may disclose adjacent process memory during instruction decoding. The nd_decode function may read up to 15 bytes without checking the actual length of the supplied Python buffer. The nd_decode_ex, nd_decode_ex2, and nd_decode_with_context functions pass the caller-supplied buffer size to the decoder without validating it against the actual length of the Python buffer. Data read beyond the buffer may be exposed through nd_get_instrux_bytes, which returns a fixed-length list of 16 bytes. Exploitation requires an application to invoke the affected APIs with a short buffer or an oversized length and to expose the resulting bytes to an attacker. The pybddisasm package is no longer maintained.
