Description
The JSM Show Post Metadata WordPress plugin before 4.9.1 does not properly escape a post meta key before outputting it into an inline event-handler attribute in an admin-facing meta box, allowing users with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary JavaScript that executes in the session of a higher-privileged user who reviews the affected post.
MLflow's statsmodel flavor, versions 2.1.0 to 3.14.0, omits the MLFLOW_ALLOW_PICKLE_DESERIALIZATION=False security control entirely in _load_model(), which allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code via a crafted MLmodel artifact.
In Flatpak before 1.18.1, the revokefs writer, used by the flatpak-system-helper to receive repository data from unprivileged callers, validated file paths by rejecting literal .. components but did not prevent symlink traversal. A malicious local user in an active local session could obtain two revokefs sessions via the system helper, create a symlink in one session pointing into the other session's directory, and retain a file descriptor through that symlink. This allowed the attacker to modify files belonging to a different revokefs session after they had been validated and imported by the system helper. In particular, an attacker could use this to tamper with ostree commit objects in the system repository after they passed signature verification, enabling root-controlled file writes to attacker-chosen paths and local root privilege escalation.
UTF8DataInputJsonParser._reportInvalidToken() in FasterXML jackson-core builds the offending-token text for its error message by appending Java identifier characters to a StringBuilder in a loop that has no upper bound. Unlike the three sibling parser implementations, including UTF8StreamJsonParser, it never consults ErrorReportConfiguration.getMaxErrorTokenLength() (default 256). A malformed token supplied to a parser created through JsonFactory.createParser(DataInput) is therefore accumulated in full. No StreamReadConstraints setting mitigates this: maxDocumentLength cannot be applied to DataInput sources at all, and maxStringLength does not cover this path because the accumulation bypasses ReadConstrainedTextBuffer. The reporter measured a 20,000,109-character exception message from a 20-million-character malformed token on the DataInput path, against 367 characters for identical input on the InputStream path. Scaling the payload drives the StringBuilder, which also incurs byte-to-char expansion and internal array doubling, to many times the raw payload size and can trigger OutOfMemoryError for the whole JVM. UTF8DataInputJsonParser was introduced in 2.8.0 together with createParser(DataInput); releases before 2.8.0 do not contain the affected class.
The Subscribe Forms WordPress plugin before 1.6.3 does not sanitise and escape one of its form settings before outputting it in a page, allowing authenticated users with the Author role and above to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks that execute in the browser of any visitor who views a page embedding the form, including logged-out visitors and administrators.
